Following its debut at Salone del Mobile’s Euroluce, Czech Republic brand Preciosa Lighting has launched Crystal Links, a collection featuring hand-blown and hand-cut components that showcase the manufacturer’s “mastery of traditional craftsmanship, fusing the harmony between breathtaking details and neat minimalism,” the company says.
“Crystal Links is a lighting concept informed by the structure and fluidity of urban landscapes and the geometric precision of modern architecture,” the brand says. “Inspired by the glowing windows and bustling streets of metropolitan life, it combines sleek metal tubes with hand-crafted Bohemian crystal bicones. The metal tubes denote a bustling city’s intersections of roads, places, and people, while the bicones are inspired by the glowing windows of apartments amidst a city’s rush.”

Crystal Links is the latest design the brand has added to its growing Signature Designs collection, a curated and customisable range of lighting solutions with unlimited compositions.
Comprising a crisscross composition of illuminated beams, Crystal Links’s crystal bicones work using an “injected light” technique, whereby a specially designed LED chip directs light into the edges of the bicone. Light reflects off bubbles and hand-made cuts in the crystal, and an inner silvering layer amplifies the reflections.
“This is one of our most expressive designs to date. It celebrates the intersection of light and geometry, offering limitless possibilities for composition and customisation,” Andreas Klug, co-creative director of the company says. “We’re excited to offer clients the chance to work with this new design, and look forward to seeing Crystal Links in the context of exciting design projects the world over.”
Specifiers can choose from various static white, tunable white or RGBW options to suit the requirements of the installation. Each of these options are powered by Preciosa’s specialized LED chips and unique controller system using slim 2-core cables to minimise visual clutter and deliver a powerful light output.

Preciosa’s Signature Designs collection, which includes the new Crystal Links, offers clients the freedom to tailor scales, compositions, hand-made cuts of components, materials, surface finishes, construction principles and illumination methods. It’s all about supporting the personal style and architectural context of each project, the brand says.
“Crystal Links is about embracing the energy and rhythm of the city,” Michael Vasku, co-creative director of Preciosa, says. “It captures the nocturnal symphony of urban life, reflecting the beauty of connectivity and the dance of light in a world that never sleeps.”
