Anony, a lighting and product design studio founded in 2015, is officially releasing its Pola collection during WantedDesign ‘25 in New York City.
Inspired by tunnels, the design is simple, architectural and sophisticated, the company explains. “The Pola collection is inspired by long, tunnel-like corridors and archways, lit with recessed floor lights,” co-founder Christian Lo says. “It’s a unique visual, to see this long shape perfectly illuminated.”

Pola means “half” in Polish and is equal parts light and heavy, hard and soft. It also speaks to the product’s “cut-pipe” design. The company says its warm light throws softness on extruded aluminum in a glowing arc. “Effortlessly smooth diffusion brings lightness to the frame, while an open structure allows light to flow through and warm its surroundings,” the company says.
The collection continues Anony’s search for new perspectives on simple geometry. It comes in various configurations, a sconce, a floor lamp, a table lamp, a single pendant and a multi-pendant. Made from aluminum, all fixtures in the collection use dimmable LED technology and can be fully disassembled to change the light source, replace a part or re-install. Available finishes include brushed aluminum, brushed brass, brushed champagne, matte black and matte white
Founded by Lo and David Ryan, Anony is interested in utilizing the latest technology and manufacturing processes combined with an honest and timeless approach to a product’s life cycle, judicious use of materials, minimal manufacturing and ease of use. The company is based in Canada.
