Innovative Czech lighting brand Brokis unveiled three new high-concept lighting designs at this year’s Euroluce during Salone del Mobile in Milan. Brokis CEO Jan Rabell says the new products represent the company’s newest offerings of fresh designs with hand-blown glass.
“Among the all-new collections are Comet, by designer Simona Sbordone, and Under Pressure, by Boris Klimek and Lenka Damová,” the company says. “A new glass decor has been developed for each of these collections: Comet with an admixture of silica sand for an enchanting stardust effect, and Under Pressure made via the cracking method for an unmistakable fractured appearance.”
Brokis also launched a new mini interior variant of its Night Birds collection, by Boris Klimek. “These popular bird-shaped pendants will now be available in a smaller size, though they’ll share the same wing attitudes and proportions as their larger siblings,” the brand says. “The Planets collection, by the design duo Vrtiška & Žák, will also be available in a smaller size beginning this year with the launch of a mini variant in new shades of brown.”

Comet, by designer Simona Sbordone
Introducing Comet, an all-new collection of pendant lights combining modern technologies with the timeless beauty of hand-blown glass. Comet brings a touch of cosmic elegance to the interior in both home and commercial settings. The collection comprises lights inspired by the tail of a comet in the night sky, its effect reminiscent of stardust.
The lights are crafted in two shapes – Comet Round and Comet Square – each available in three different sizes. This allows for a wide range of creative compositions, from elegant solitaires to large-scale lighting installations in hotels, staircases, and entrance halls. Each Comet is hand blown from laminated glass, with grains of silica sand added between the layers to render a unique celestial effect that gently diffuses the light throughout the surrounding space. Under Pressure, by Boris Klimek and Lenka Damová
The fleeting moment when molten glass becomes a solid yet infinitely delicate object – such is the inspiration for Under Pressure, a bold new collection of lights that captures this transformation and the exciting tension it creates. That singular, magical instance when hot molten glass succumbs to pressure and begins to assume its nal form, an embodiment of strength and fragility in one.
The dynamic glass shapes appear still alive, evoking an image of organic deformation from external forces, an invisible pressure bending them to its will. This striking visual effect is further accentuated with technical elements, such as a center-line threaded rod that penetrates the delicate glass globe and brings a touch of geometric regularity and industrial elegance. Under Pressure delivers an impressive contrast, an alluring juxtaposition of the organic malleability of glass and uncompromising precision of metal. The lights are manufactured in assorted sizes and typologies, backed with a broad spectrum of glass color and surface finish options, for a look that always catches the eye and elevates the aesthetics of any interior.

Night Birds, by Boris Klimek
The Night Birds family has been expanded with a new version called Night Birds MINI. This smaller version of successful collection Night Birds makes the ideal complement to the full-sized lights and are well suited to smaller spaces where larger rocks would appear cramped. Suspended from elegant coaxial cables, the MINIs are perfect for illuminating dining and conference tables.
Inspired by the abandon and freedom of bird ight, the innovative Night Birds suspension lights impart poetic enchantment and unparalleled dynamism to any interior. Night Birds differ from the other collections in the unique technology applied in production, which involves melting glass into a mold and then bending it. The process makes it possible to instill delicate nuances in the shape of the wings and achieve a coloration of the glass that is different and wholly unique each time.
The collection’s restraint and directness are underscored by the minimalist LED light source set in a mixture of lacquered and polished aluminum or with a black anodized finish. The Night Birds collection comprises three lights with different wing attitudes depicting the various phases of bird flight. The lights come in white or dark glass as well as in Brokisglass, and there is also an outdoor variant. Night Birds work best in large flocks. The metal components are also available in a black anodized finish. The indoor and outdoor lights share the same engineering, which allows a greater selection of light sources and simplifies installation and balancing.
