Italian luxury bath brand Antonio Lupi has unveiled its new Rigatino freestanding washbasin, which the company calls “the symbol of a contemporary luxury that translates into the quality of the material and the perfection of the shapes.”
Rigatino, the company says, is the most intense expression of luxury in the bathroom: “an architectural presence that turns the bathroom into a space to experience, not merely to use.”
At the heart of the introduction is a cylindrical wood volume that seems to rise from the ground, “like the trunk of a tree.” From this comes a vertical body—compact yet slender—ending with an elegant, natural crowning marble.

“What defines Rigatino’s personality is its surface,” the company says. “The random wood grains of a trunk are transformed into subtle vertical millings—parallel lines that run along the cylinder and create a rhythm of light and shadow. The result is a vibrant three-dimensionality: a living, dynamic texture that captures the eye without ever becoming excessive.”
Rigatino is designed to adapt naturally to a wide range of contexts, moving through different styles. The base can be crafted in solid wood, for a warmer and more sophisticated feel, or in marble, for a more sculptural and iconic presence.
The basin placed on top expands the expressive possibilities even further. In addition to marble, it can be made in Flumood and Colormood, antoniolupi materials with a uniform matt finish that enhances the purity of the form.

The column can also be paired with Simplotondo, a washbasin featuring a highly functional integrated countertop: a practical detail that fits seamlessly into the overall design without compromising its essential character.
The wooden column measures 45 centimeters in diameter by 85 centimeters tall. The Rigatino with stone basin and wooden column measures 85.5 centimeters tall.
Available marbles include Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquinia, Verde Alpi and Grigio Lavico, while the stone option is Pietra Luna. A wide selection of wood grains are available, including Rovere Thermo, Noce Canaletto, Noce Visone and Rovere Moro.
