British bathroom brand Kast has released a new concrete pedestal basin collection that allows users to mix and match colors for total customization and design flexibility. Kast, which was acquired by the Kohler company in 2023, says the product seamlessly blends contemporary artistry with craftsmanship.
“We believe bathrooms should be more than just functional spaces,” says Amy Bartlett, creative director at Kast. “They should be a reflection of personal style and creativity. Our Orme, Lars, and Rho basins embody this philosophy by offering designs that allow homeowners to personalize their spaces and elevate the bathroom experience.”
Handcrafted in Nottinghamshire using locally sourced Derbyshire limestone aggregates, the Orme collection is meticulously cast in the company’s signature palette of 28 bespoke colors, offering an organic yet refined look. Bartlett says that this approach highlights a growing trend: “There’s a craving for more sensory-rich, tactile experiences, and concrete—with its raw, textured surfaces—brings a grounding, natural quality to the bathroom.”

The Orme pedestal basin blends form and function, transforming bathrooms from utilitarian spaces into vibrant expressions of individuality, the company says. Featuring a sculptural design with a curvaceous concrete bowl atop a smooth or ridged columned pedestal, the line is modern and warm. Customers have the option of mixing-and-matching color combinations—allowing up to three colors per unit. Optional vanity shelves enhance its functionality, offering flexibility to adapt to the unit to a customer’s specific situation, the company says.
“Orme transforms the bathroom into a space that reflects individuality,” explains Bartlett. “With up to three colors per unit, it offers sculptural beauty and unparalleled customisation.”
Priced at $8,400, the Orme pedestal basin makes a bold statement, merging industrial materials with organic shapes. “Orme introduces a fresh approach to personalization, allowing homeowners to create truly unique spaces that reflect their own style and creativity,” says Bartlett.
