The Non Random suspension light collection expands the Lodes catalogue with a lamp that reinterprets the glass sphere through a more assertive design language, the Italian brand says.
Capable of defining a space and its identity and designed to work with all of the brand’s individual canopies, the collection introduces new compositional possibilities thanks to its flexible design, even in large-scale installations.
“With Non Random, we envisioned a light that does not merely illuminate, but defines space through its very presence,” the company says. “The project expands our range of modular suspension systems with canopies, reflecting an ongoing search for flexible solutions that combine function and decorative expression, enhancing the design value of light even in large-scale installations.”

As the brand explains it, the sphere moves away from a sense of weightlessness to establish itself as a striking presence. Three diameters – 33 centimeters, 38 centimeters and 43 centimeters – define an instantly recognizable volume, conceived as an explicit decorative feature. Each lamp is ideal individually or in multiple compositions, where repetition amplifies the elegance and visual impact of the spheres.
Inside the diffuser, a high-output LED light source ensures full and uniform illumination, delivering energy efficient and dramatic lighting while maintaining a high level of visual comfort. The polymer cap ensures the continuity of the sphere, matching the glass surface in the same finish.
Six finishes enhance the suspension lamp’s dramatic character, Lodes says. Alongside the clear, glossy smoke and glossy bronze finishes already in the catalogue, the new metallic shades reinterpret the metals into a contemporary sensibility: It includes hues from the warmth of mandarin orange to the soft, natural tones of golden sage and deep azure steel.

“Each finish interacts with light and surrounding materials, producing reflections and subtle tonal variations that reinforce the lamp’s presence,” Lodes says.
In residential settings–such as hallways, living rooms and dining rooms–the collection helps define the space. In hospitality and commercial environments, such as hotels, restaurants and retail spaces, it lends itself to multi-light installations above tables and counters, in lounge areas, or in stairwells and double-height spaces, where repeating volumes, even in mixed finishes, allow for the creation of striking lighting compositions, the brand adds.
