Deako, a company that specializes in modular smart lighting solutions, has launched new switch that further simplifies smart lighting installation.
The company says its new next-generation Smart Switch features “first-of-its-kind” Magic Linking technology that automatically configures smart switches for multi-way lighting. This eliminates the need for complex installation, lengthy setup or wiring expertise, the brand says.

Magic Linking, the company says, automatically configures multi-way circuits in half the steps and time. “Once installed, all switches activate and configure to work together, making setup effortless without electrical knowledge or additional programming required.

The next-gen switch also features the Beacon Light bar, an integrated LED bar at the base of the switch. This feature introduces added convenience and safety through two distinct modes, “Locator” and “Status.”Ideal for exterior lighting and/or hard-to-see or distant lights within the home, Status mode provides a visual cue to determine whether connected lights are on or off. Locator mode emits a soft glow when the lights are off, helping to locate the switch in dark environments.
Deako says the switches support light settings such as groups, schedules, timers and scenes for a fully automated lighting experience.
The launch of the next-gen smart switch also includes an improved Deako app, which reimagines how homeowners interact with lighting in their homes. It includes upgraded Bluetooth Mesh Technology + Device Discovery, ensuring greater compatibility and faster pairing; whole-home use that can manage multiple homes; and external integration, allowing homeowners to integrate with the popular platforms, such as Alarm.com, Alexa, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.
“The launch of the next-generation Smart Switch and upgraded Deako App follows the company’s 10-year anniversary,” the company says. “A milestone year for the company citing an expansion of its builder network to more than 40 partners including D.R.
