Coming off of the January release of its 48-inch Platinum Series Induction Range, Blandon, Pa.-based BlueStar has expanded the line with a 36-inch version.
BlueStar says the new size brings professional-grade performance to more kitchens across the United States.
“The launch of the new 36” Platinum Series Induction Range marks an exciting milestone as we continue to expand our presence in the induction market,” says Ann Muth, vice president of marketing at BlueStar. “We’re proud to bring over a century of cooking innovation into this growing category, with a product that delivers both power, efficiency, and flexibility. This new range allows us to meet the needs of a wider range of customers across the U.S.”

At this year’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, BllueStar introduced the 48-inch Platinum induction range. Available in more than 1,000+ colors and multiple trim options, it has two 11-inch zones and four 9-inch zones. Plus, it has a true convection oven that offers even and consistent multi-rack cooking, the company says.
The new 36-inch unit features many of the same features as the 48-inch unit. It has a large cooking surface with five cooking zones, including an expansive 11-inch zone and four 9-inch zones with up to 3,700 watts in boost mode. It also features a bridge function, offering 7,400 watts, which is ideal for accommodating oversized cookware on a standard-sized range, the company says.
In addition, the range features a matte-finish cooktop surface that is 80% less reflective and is resistant to scratches, stains and fingerprints. “The surface is easy to clean with a simple swipe, cleaning twice as fast as traditional cooktops, maintaining its sleek appearance over time,” the company says.

The appliance brand says its Power Level Indicator Light replicates the visual cue of a gas flame with red light bars that indicate the heat level and active zones. Each zone offers 12 heat levels that are controlled by precision knobs and are enhanced by a Power Optimization System that intelligently redistributes power for seamless, uninterrupted cooking
A true convection oven fits a commercial 18-inch-by-26-inch baking sheet and is operated via a 7-inch color touchscreen that controls the eight cooking modes. Safety features include pan detection, quick-to-cool surfaces and a child lock. In keeping with the brand’s specialization in personalization, the 36-inch range is available in more than 1,000 colors and various metal trim finishes, “allowing users to design a kitchen that suits their unique style,” the company says.
Since 1880, BlueStar has made its appliances in Pennsylvania.
