Italian surfaces brand Laminam has added two new bold colors to its diverse portfolio of porcelain slabs. Calacatta Viola and Taj Mahal, part of the I Naturali collection, offer luxurious, versatile solutions for both interior and exterior design projects, the company says.

“These new color additions showcase our dedication to creating surfaces that elevate design while providing the durability and sustainability that Laminam is known for,” says Philip Eeles, president and CEO of Laminam North America. “Whether used for countertops, flooring, walls, or furniture, these new colors help inspire creativity in design professionals and homeowners alike.”

Calacatta Viola embodies the timeless elegance of marble, distinguished by its bold, richly-hued veins. It captures the essence of natural stone, with dramatic purple veining that weaves and flows throughout the slab, creating dynamic, one-of-a-kind patterns and textures. Perfect for minimalist and modern interiors, Calacatta Viola effortlessly elevates any space with a blend of complementary tones that accentuate striking violet hues. The result is a sophisticated, timeless surface that transforms any room into a work of art. Available in both polished and natural finishes, Calacatta Viola offers versatility for various applications, including wall cladding, flooring, countertop, exterior façades and furniture cladding. Available in Laminam’s 5- and 12-millimeter thicknesses, the product gives designers and architects ultimate creative flexibility, the brand shared.

In contrast, Taj Mahal is inspired by the rich warmth of iconic Indian marble. Its soft, creamy beige base is beautifully complemented by delicate golden veining, capturing the timeless beauty of its natural counterpart. “This refined color exudes tranquility and sophistication, offering limitless design possibilities for both classic and contemporary projects,” Laminam says. “Perfect for creating a serene, welcoming atmosphere, Taj Mahal adds a touch of understated elegance to any environment.”

Both colors are available in Laminam’s signature large-format slabs, which the company claims  offer exceptional durability, scratch resistance and ease of maintenance. Designed to meet the needs of modern architecture and interior design, these surfaces are perfect for various applications.

Founded in 2001, Laminam revolutionized the surface market when it pioneered the  manufacturing technology for ultra-thin ceramic surfaces in large format–at the time, the first of its kind. Employing industry 4.0 technologies in its state-of-the-art production facilities, the company produces high-performing surfaces with reduced environmental impact and sustainable practices. The brand is known for a wide range of surface colors and finishes, all available in three large sizes and four different thicknesses.
