Appliance brand Midea has been busy, launching two new innovative refrigerators at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show last month.
The Parsippany, N.J.-based company released the 50/50 Flex 3-Way Convertible Freezer with the ability to switch between all-freezer, all-refrigerator or refrigerator/freezer combo at the touch of a button.
“Traditional freezers lock you into a single function, but the 50/50 Flex adapts to your needs, giving you the flexibility to expand frozen storage, convert to fresh food storage, or use a balanced refrigerator/freezer setup whenever you need it,” the company says.

Intended as a secondary storage option in a house, the 50/50 Flex is easy to adjust on demand, especially if a homeowner is hosting a holiday gathering, stocking up on frozen foods or simply needs extra space for unexpected leftovers or a grocery run.
Midea says the unit is built for real life, whether an owner places it in a garage, basement, pantry or utility room. The brand says the unit some unique features:
➤It operates efficiently in extreme temperatures, from 38°F to 110°F.
➤It has 2 cubic feet of customizable storage, with adjustable shelves, spacious bins and smart drainage.
➤It has a fingerprint-resistant exterior, hidden hinges, and reversible doors provide a clean, polished look.
➤The brand included intuitive controls that make switching modes easy, while auto-defrost technology eliminates maintenance headaches.
➤ The unit is Energy Star-rated.

The brand also introduced the OneTouch AutoFill french door refrigerator offering “an industry-first” auto-sensing ice and water dispenser that eliminates the hassle of spills, overflows and standing by the refrigerator while a glass fills. It automatically detects your cup, bottle, or tumbler and fills it with the perfect amount of ice, water or ice water. All users have to do is place your cup, press a button and walk away while the dispenser does the rest.
